7Bs - 18th / 19th May

The place to announce the standard club ride. This will usally be early on a Saturday morning on road bikes and will be around 35 miles or so. There will often be a hill or two.

Mark and I have booked a 3-bed cottage across the road from the pub, so there's room for two others, if anyone is interested.
Ooo - I didn’t realise we had a cottage. How romantic.

I have not fully decided yet however my first option will be to join Barry/Ken and ride the whole day, i.e Berrylands /Brighton/Portsmouth and back.

Hopefully Dave 'gooseberry' B won't be there for a change

I think the people that I’ve got staying are: David B, Sir John, Tim OBE, Wazza, Mike. If I’ve got this wrong, please correct me. Each will need to bring a sleeping bag - so we don’t spend Sunday morning changing sheets etc.

I’m planning a trip down to the IOW in the week before (leaving a car there), so will be offering a bag drop service. I will also likely not do the final ride home and instead drive home after the lap of the island. Therefore able to bring bags (and 2 people, assuming we can fit all bags in) back as well.

James, can I get a lift home with you after island lap? Wife’s b’day so brownie points if I get home a bit early!

Slight correction to those staying (found the original messages):
Beds for: Me, Mark, Tim OBE, Sir John, David B & Nik.
Floor space for Mike & Wazza.
As Mark is now loved up and staying nearby in a romantic bolt hole, guess that means Mike/Wazza can have a bed.

Noted that Tim OBE & David B want a lift home. That will probably be all I can fit in the car.

Current plan is that I will leave Surbiton around 1900 hrs on 16th and able to take a boot load of sleeping bags/kit. So please drop off any gear in the 30 mins before that.
